The winning film of the 2025 LUX Audience Award will be announced onTuesday, in a ceremony in Parliament’s hemicycle in Brussels.

The shortlisted films are: “Animal” by Greek director Sofia Exarchou, “Dahomey” by French director Mati Diop, “Flow” by Latvian director Gints Zilbalodis, “Intercepted” by Ukranian director Oksana Karpovych, and “Julie keeps quiet” by Belgian director Leonardo van Dijl.

A press conference with the winner, the chair of the Committee on Culture and Education, Nela Riehl (Greens, DE), and the honorary president of the LUX Selection Committee and chair of the European Film Academy, Mike Downey, will take place at 19.15 in front of room SPAAK 03C050.

The European Parliament and the European Film Academy award the prize to help the distribution of European films with significant artistic merit that reflect cultural diversity in Europe and to strengthen the links between citizens and politics.
