Building a Stronger European Democracy. Parliament’s DG COMM is hosting a media briefing in Strasbourg on Parliament’s work on the European Democracy Shield and AgoraEU. Tomas Tobé (EPP, Sweden), EUDS rapporteur, will discuss proposals by the EP Special Committee, as well as expectations for the upcoming plenary vote and the Commission’s next steps. AgoraEU co-rapporteurs Emma Rafowicz (S&D, France) and Alice Kuhnke (Greens/EFA, Sweden) will outline Parliament’s ongoing work towards a stronger European democratic public sphere through the culture, media, and civil society initiative put forward by the Commission and its funding under the next MFF.
